About Different Is Dandy
Our History
Different Is Dandy was founded in 2022 by Elizabeth Greer Mobley, A Community Integration and Navigation Specialist and Special Educator, Mother of Medically Complex Children, and Neurodivergent Woman who deeply cares about her community and the persons whom she serves and supports.
She likes to call herself the “Professional Agitator”… For making forward-focused changes, being a thinker outside of the typical realms of society, and understanding that although Different, you are Dandy (to strive for excellence in your own unique way) would still allow you to live an incredible life if you embraced each day. To remind others, that they are Seen, Valued, and Respected helpes people know they are not alone.
Our Team
Our team is made up of licensed educators, trained artists, social workers, architects, social justice workers early childhood providers, and other community professionals who are passionate about supporting the well-being of our community. Board Member Introductions are loading. The Org is an official 501(c)3 Private Foundation.
The Mission:
We provide services and resources to marginalized populations that are accessible, supportive, and actionable - with measurable outcomes in response to identified community needs.

2nd Major Initiative: Black Infant & Maternal Health in WV
Proactive Policy can strengthen Data collection & improve infant and maternal health outcomes for birthing parents in West Virginia, especially those that are Black and Brown!
Educated Black Women are 5’xs more likely to experience a catastrophic health outcome than that of their White counterparts here in WV!!
